Drone is Matthew Borowick's ongoing series of fine art aerial photography, shot with low-altitude drones across locations including Iceland, British Columbia, and Hong Kong. Prints are available in limited editions for residential and hospitality interiors.


The drone sits at an altitude the eye never reaches on its own — too high for the intimate and too low for the abstract, which is exactly where things get interesting. From Sigöldugljúfur's canyon system to the kelp forests off Tofino to the geometry of Hong Kong seen from above, these photographs find the patterns and structures that only appear when you remove yourself from the scene entirely. The world, it turns out, looks better from a hundred feet up.


What altitude are these images shot from?
Low-altitude, typically under 400 feet — high enough to reveal pattern and structure, low enough to keep detail and texture intact.

Where has this series been shot?
Iceland, British Columbia, Hong Kong, Sardinia, and the California coast, among other locations.
